Why box squat?

Breaks up the eccentric (lengthening of a muscle under load)and concentric (shortening of a muscle under load) chain.✅

Allows you to reach the same depth with every rep✅ (which is why you should work with different height boxes based on load management and/or your own sticking point)

Teaches a person to sit back into a squat which can be great for people with lower limb injuries such as knees and ankles as it does not require as much range of motion.✅

Creates explosiveness out of the bottom position of your squat✅

Works the hips similar to a sumo deadlift due to the wider stance✅
