Main movement – Box Squat
Why box squat?
Breaks up the eccentric (lengthening of a muscle under load)and concentric (shortening of a muscle under load) chain.â
Allows you to reach the same depth with every repâ (which is why you should work with different height boxes based on load management and/or your own sticking point)
Teaches a person to sit back into a squat which can be great for people with lower limb injuries such as knees and ankles as it does not require as much range of motion.â
Creates explosiveness out of the bottom position of your squatâ
Works the hips similar to a sumo deadlift due to the wider stanceâ
